Review: Love Honey Desire Remote Control Dual Stimulation Love Egg

An honest and sexy review about a toy I've never played with before, and couldn't wait to try out

I was kindly asked by Lovehoney to choose from their, frankly massive, sex toy range for something to review. You can well imagine that I am not lacking in the sex toy department. I have two draws dedicated to the sex toy and accessories market, but to be completely honest with you, there are only ever three actual vibrating toys on rotation for me. I have my Doxy wand, which is always my number one go to toy, but I also have an amazing G-Spot toy that I pretty much exclusively use with my boyfriend, he warms me up by fucking me with it in a demonically violent way that has made me black out before. Lastly I have this very cute little palm sized pebble shaped vibrator (also from Lovehoney!) that is perfect for a controlled wavy orgasm as opposed to leg shaking uncontrollable squirting like with my wand. 

I have been intrigued by dual stimulation vibrators for a while now. I often find having both my clit stimulated and being penetrated at the same time, incredibly overwhelming and at times actually decreases any sensitivity and pleasure, but I had always assumed that was too many things going on at once or not using the right sort of toys. So I decided to go for the Dual Stimulation Love Egg. Remote controlled, for either solo play or with someone else, fully waterproof, with promises of being ultra quiet, and completely ‘poseable’ or I think better described as ‘bendy’ so it is pretty much guaranteed to fit anyone with a vaginas  anatomy. It comes with its own little pleather zip up case, which I love. The way you store your sex toys is super important. Because of the nature of sex toys, they are prime for picking up bacteria, germs, dust and all sorts of things that are going to give you a raging infection even if you diligently clean them after each use. I think most modern toys come with their own little cloth bag or like this an actual case, so don’t throw them away!

The Love Egg is made of soft silicone (so if you are using lube, make sure to use a water based one) and both the ‘egg’ end and ‘clit’ end of the Love Egg vibrate. Like most vibrating toys it has a plethora of patterns and three speeds. I myself have never actually got on with those erratic patterns that are built into vibrating toys. I just want a continuous buzz and to find the best speed possible. Now, when I first tried out the Love Egg I forgot there was a remote. I couldn’t really find the power button without taking it out of me and looking really hard (it’s located directly under the two power charge dots). When I finally remembered the remote I found it only had one button. In order to find your desired pattern and speed you have to press the power button several times, which in all honesty I find a bit frustrating. I don’t know about you but 95% of the time, needing to wank is spontaneous, or at the very least not entirely planned or thought out in advance. So I want to just press go, amp up the speed to whatever kind of mood i’m in. But once you have it figured out, and use the handy remote, it’s actually pretty easy to use.

Once inside me the ‘egg’ end definitely filled me up and I could feel it stimulate my G Spot, and with a bit of finagling I positioned the tail against my clit. I think the most important thing for a dual toy is that each of the stimulating parts remain where they should be, or at least should be able to withstand some writhing about, and I can confirm the Love Egg delivered there. 

I guess the ultimate aim of a dual sex toy that focuses on G Spot and clit stimulation is to achieve a blended orgasm. This is when you orgasm with both a G Spot and clit orgasm at the same time. The only way I have ever been able to achieve a blended orgasm is with a LOT of clitoral stimulation. Physiologically this actually makes sense. By playing with your clit, you will arouse your various erogenous zones in your vulva and vagina. Your actual clitoris is not just the hooded button (or glans) at the top of your vulva, but is in fact  part of a much larger (think wishbone shaped) organ. Which means you can achieve pleasure from playing your labia, or actually anywhere down either side to your vulva, right down to your vaginal opening.  Arousal increases blood flow to these places, which makes your G Spot more swollen and easier to not only find, but play with. This could be a me problem, but the Love Eggs clitoral stimulation end lacked that kind of power for me. It does have three different speeds but it wasn’t enough for me to achieve an overwhelming orgasm, blended or otherwise. I did climax clitorally, but it took a bit of work and complete relaxation of my muscles and mind. However the G Spot end was great. 

From the moment I had the ‘egg’ end inside me, I felt full and stretched in that way I love. The Love Egg vibrated in a perfect rumbly thudding feeling and made me feel like I was actually being fucked, penetrated even, despite it being completely stationary. I was able to cum, and actually squirt from this alone! Normally the power of me cumming and squirting forces any toy out of me, but the Love Egg stayed firm, only enhancing the experience as the thrumming of the vibrations kept going and teasing me as I was cumming and after.

Overall, the Dual Stimulation Love Egg is a solid and fun toy. Unless you have trained your clit to cum only with pneumatic drill levels of power and speed like myself, I am pretty certain that you can achieve what it sets out to do; multiple styles of orgasm. The remote function is great for playing with a partner, in and out the bedroom. It is a great edging tool, and where other clit focused toys I have used in the past that promise to stay in place and give pleasure fail, the Love Egg is robust enough to remain where it needs to be. Which means that if you like your share of exhibitionism, voyeurism or any kind of public sex kink, this is the perfect toy to take outside.
